2012 Family Camp - October 19-21
Check out photos of the fun had at the 2011 Family Camp Session here. Camp Odayin's Family Camp takes place in Mid-October each year. It begins on a Friday afternoon and runs until lunch on Sunday. Family Camp is for families with a child with heart disease, who would benefit from connecting with other families who share similar health, emotional, and social concerns. The actual cost of Family Camp is $100 per person, but the only charge is $50 per family. Family Camp is hosted at Camp Wapogasset in Amery, Wisconsin on a 22 acre peninsula between Lake Wapogasset and Bear Trap Lake.
The facilities include two large retreat centers, a dining facility and private housing for families.
Enjoy many of the activities that our campers enjoy and the beauty of Fall in the Midwest. Family Camp gives returning campers a chance to share their experiences at camp and is also a great way to introduce a new camper to Odayin. It's an opportunity to spend time with your kids, and meet other families whose lives have been affected by heart disease. Our program offers a broad range of activities and some educational opportunities for both parents and campers. Each evening includes a special program designed for the entire family that is sure to create fabulous memories and lots of laughs. There is no minimum age for children, but parents should realize that they are responsible for the supervision of their own children. Several of our key staff members will be at Family Camp to assist in activities. What does all this fun cost? The Family Camp fee $50 per family. This fee covers the entire Family Camp session for all family members and includes all regular activities and meals. Because we must order food and contract with our staff before Family Camp begins, we cannot pro-rate fees for partial stays. Camper applications are available in August, and are due in early October. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. After your family is registered, you will receive packing lists, authorization forms and additional details.
