Camp Odayin
A song by Ray, grandfather of camper, Gabrielle

There's a little place I know
Where lots of special kids they go
To run and jump, have lots of fun
Where they're all treated equal
Where they're all number one
It's CAMP ODAYIN, it's CAMP ODAYIN

It starts with Day Camp for the little ones
Learning new skills, having lots of fun
Then it's on the bus and gone for a week
With a smile on the face and a tear on the cheek
So sad to leave Mommy, feeling all alone
But I make so many new friends I don't want to go home
From CAMP ODAYIN, from CAMP ODAYIN

Boating, fishing, archery
Nature walks, artwork, dining room KP
A scavenger hunt and a talent show
What will we do next year?
Only Sara knows
At CAMP ODAYIN, at CAMP ODAYIN

We get breakfast, lunch and dinner to boot
Everything about camp is such a big hoot
We played water wars, went horseback riding
Canoeing, tubing, had our own Olympics
Cause it's all about fun and being who we are
Because we're all the same, because we're all stars
At CAMP ODAYIN, at CAMP ODAYIN

In the fall, parents get to tag along
Join in the activities, join in the songs
Flag raising in the morning
We YELLED across the lake
In the evening round the campfire a seat we did take
To sing more songs before we go to bed
We even sang a song about a moose named FRED
At CAMP ODAYIN, at CAMP ODAYIN

Doctors, nurses, and volunteers
Fiving up free time, year after year
To help these kids as they learn and grow
Without all their help there would be no camp, we know
But we don't have to worry, be sad, or be blue
Because the staff loves our kids as much as we do
At CAMP ODAYIN, at CAMP ODAYIN

So, there's a little place I know
Where all these special kis they go
To run and jump, have lots of fun
Where they're all treated equal
Where they're all number one
It's CAMP ODAYIN, it's CAMP ODAYIN.
